The seeds can be grown indoors all year round.
The banana trees are one of the more unusual phenomena in the plant kingdom. The Kenya or mini banana is one of the smaller types. It grows to a height of about 1.50 meters when kept in a pot, has leaves that are about 1 meter long and is the only species that grows fruit in our country after 2 to 3 years.
It is almost indestructible and known for its rapid growth. Musa velutina is frost-hardy down to -15 ° C (from the second year onwards with acclimatization), but is also very suitable as a container plant on the terrace or balcony and is of course a real eye-catcher as a houseplant.

As always, the banana seeds are sourced fresh from India.
- Carefully and gently roughen or scratch the seeds (fine sandpaper, knife, file ...).
- Pour hot water over the seeds (as hot as the tap comes from).
- Let the seeds soak in warm water for about 48 to 72 hours.
