The shells of the seeds are very hard and make it difficult to germinate. Lightly scrape the seed shells and allow to swell for 2 days in lukewarm water.
Take the seeds out of the water - they are about twice as large as before after swelling. Find the spot where you scratched the seed. Start carefully with the fingernail at the scratched place with the peeling off the dark brown peel. In two days in water the seedling has formed. At one end you see the beginning of the root, at the other the forming leaves.
