Die Anzucht der Samen im Haus ist ganzjährig möglich. Eine Vorbehandlung der Samen verbessert die Keimquote erheblich.
Bereiten Sie eine Anzuchtschale mit Anzuchterde vor. Säen Sie die Samen möglichst dünn aus und bedecken Sie sie leicht mit Substrat.
Die Saat darf niemals ganz austrocknen. Überziehen Sie die Schale deshalb mit Folie, die Sie von Zeit zu Zeit lüften. Stellen Sie das Gefäß hell und nicht zu kühl auf. Ideal sind Temperaturen um zehn Grad.
Die Samen brauchen bis zur Keimung schon circa 30-60 Tage und benötigen vorher eine Frostperiode. Hierzu können Sie das Saatgut für etwa 2-3 Wochen ins Gefrierfach legen. Anschließend die Samen für 24 Stunden vorquellen und dann auf feuchte Anzuchterde oder sandige Gartenerde drücken. Eine Keimtemperatur von 20°C ist ausreichend.
