In Central Europe, the girl pine develops into a tree no more than 10 meters high, but often remains much smaller. Already in her youth she trains cones, which then get stuck for several years.

Die Anzucht der Samen im Haus ist ganzjährig möglich. Legen Sie die Samen für 5 bis 7 Tage in den Kühlschrank und setzen Sie sie anschließend 1 cm tief in feuchtes Anzuchtsubstrat. Die Keimung erfolgt nach 4 bis 10 Wochen. Zwei Monate nach der Keimung können die Pflanzen pikiert (vereinzelt) werden.
