The term "kiwi" was chosen for marketing reasons and is a reference to the New Zealand coat of arms bird kiwi, whose physique remotely reminds of the fruit of the Chinese ray pencil. The breeder Hayward Wright finally bred the variety "Hayward", which is still today the most commercially successful kiwi variety and is now cultivated worldwide.
A kiwi can be pulled by yourself. The rearing is even possible all year round. With proper care you get an aromatic fruit.
The kiwi (botanical actinidia) is a climber that can reach a stately size of up to ten meters. If the cultivation succeeds and the maintenance is correct, the plant also thrives in European latitudes.
