Spruce is one of the most species-rich genera among the conifers. There are a total of around 50 different species that are distributed around the globe in the temperate to subpolar zone of the northern hemisphere. Like hardly any other tree species, spruces have adapted to the polar climate and occur naturally in the temperate zone almost exclusively in the cold mountain regions. North of the Arctic Circle they often form pure stands and are therefore the most important trees of the so-called boreal coniferous forest. Most spruce species, however, come from the high mountains of western and central China.

If you have a handful or two of seeds, this method is the easiest. Lay paper towels on top of each other until the stack is about 3 to 6 mm high. Add just enough water to dampen all parts of the towels, then hold them up by one corner until the excess water has drained off. Lay the seeds in one layer on one half of the paper towels, then fold the other half over the seeds. Close in a sealable plastic bag and store in the refrigerator at about 5 ° C.

A detailed illustrated manual is included in the delivery !!!
